This week, the time has again come: on September, 19th, 2913, at 18:00 hours, there will be another interesting IF Forum as part of our IF Academy. You can hear an exciting presentation about:

Mailserver & Mail-Client (Careful E-MAIL!)

“History, Spam&Virusses” or “concepts for the secure and reliable operation of a mail server”

(Hans Bonfigt / Marc Haber – redoxSystems)

And here is the good news:

HaberMarcII200911-Heidelfoto-A-orig-IMG_4678plus_v2Marc Haber will also come.

By now, we can verify that, besides Hans Bonfigt, Marc Haber will also be there. The two of them are experts when it comes to the technology and the depths of our so often-used medium email. In fact, with these two persons we have a couple of “supremely knowledgeable” guests who are both extremely competent and radically critical, since they are “chips of the old block”. Both of them have the special talent of coming up with simple explanations even when the topic is complex. I know them both personally and they will give very interesting reports as co-speakers.

For instance, they will deduce logically that an enterprise basically cannot avoid having its own mail server. They will also show how easy it is to install said mail server and how cheaply it works if you use free software.

Simultaneously, they will give a quasi “first-hand account” about the rather “common” concept of “SINA-Boxes” potentially abusing your civil rights on a daily basis without your having even the slightest chance of so much as noticing it.

Since currently this topic is rather much-discussed, we promoted the IF Academy presentation to become a “special IF Forum”.

Consequently, this coming Thursday evening is another very good opportunity to introduce InterFace AG to our friends, partners, customers and all interested persons, as well as to new colleagues.

So here I am asking you all to support the IF Forum and make it a lively event. I will also be very happy to welcome participants who failed to register on time or decide to visit spontaneously.

For details and registration, click here: LINK !

I look forward to welcoming many visitors!

Dear If Blog readers,

at long last, I am writing another one of my bi-weekly blog news articles. This time, we have several reasons:

On  June, 21st, we will have our next

IF FORUM (with soccer party).

This time, our speaker is Frau Susanne Hofmann of the ”Tölzer Kasladen“. She will speak about:

Quality Beats Quantity
How top quality food should be prepared!

After the presentation, we will all try how the good cheese from the “Tölzer Kasladen” tastes. And since it is the day of the EM quarter finals, there will be the “Soccer Party at InterFace” after the IF Forum. We will show the game live in our seminar zone.

Be assured that there will be enough to drink and eat for all of you.

In accordance with this, Frau Hofmann holds the Fourth Bad Tölz Cheese Festival between June, 15th and June, 17th (that is Friday through Sunday)!

And “last not least”, here is the news for my friends:
On June, 24th, we are having a private summer party at home. The occasion is – not exclusively, but also – my wife Barbara’s birthday. I would hereby like to invite all those who feel friends with me. Since I cannot be sure that all my friends received my invitation, I published it here:

I look forwards to numerous replies and wish you all a wonderful early summer!

Today in the evening – IF-Forum in the Internet

In our IF Forum EXTRA of Wednesday, January, 25th, 2012, we will get the chance to see and hear a very special presentation. Klaus-Jürgen Grün is our guest. He will talk about the

The Art of Thinking Negative!

Many already look forward to this event. Our big lecture hall in the seminar zone of the InterFace AG building at Unterhaching well certainly be very (perhaps too?) full. But so what? Because
we will broadcast the entire event live into the internet!

An internet presentation is most fun if you see it in a group. That makes it possible for you to discuss it at your heart’s content afterwards – maybe even until next morning.

IF FORUM 2012 EXTRA on Philosophy

In the evening of Wednesday, January, 25th, 2012, Dr. Klaus-Jürgen Grün will give a presentation at an IF Forum EXTRA on

The Art if Thinking Negatively!

at our Unterhaching office building. Klaus-Jürgen already talked to us in summer 2009 at the IF Forum. At the time, he fascinated us with his presentation on Brains or Guts (Kopf oder Bauch).

Since Klaus-Jürgen will be in charge of a seminar all day on January, 26th for the IF AGORA on “Fahnenbildung“, he is scheduled to arrive in Munich on Wednesday.

Consequently, we spontaneously decided in favour of an extra IF Forum.

All friends and acquaintances are invited. The email invitations will be sent to our usual IF Forum attendants shortly.
Interested parties, as well as – in particular – our “regulars”, are welcome to register immediately with Claudia Toth.

The presentation will be held at the seminar zone of the Unterhaching InterFace AG building. Guests will be welcome from 6 p.m. and the event will start at 6.15 p.m. As usual, we will prepare for a comfortable round of talks and refreshments after the presentation and discussions.

Klaus-Jürgen Grün published a number of essays exclusively in the IF-Blog. For more information on him, see Wikipedia.

Apart from this special presentation, we chose the topic sustainability for the evenings of our IF Forum in 2012. We already started contacting interesting potential speakers.

Moreover, we plan a “Technological IF Forum” at Unterhaching in co-operation with the Ronneburger Kreis. Over the year, this forum wants to discuss if “ethical behaviour and business success” contradict each other, or if they can be combined quite well.

As always, our “Technological IF Forum” will be held at an afternoon early in the summer. Several contributions will be combined and then end in an interesting discussion. The theme of our 2010 “Technological IF Forum” was  Agile Software Development (Agile Software-Entwicklung) and that of 2011 was Humans&Management (Mensch&Management).

Of course, all our presentations will, if possible, be made available on the internet and at Youtube. Everything will be as usual – and there will also be an announcement here in the blog and at IF-Open.

Merry Christmas!

On the picture, you see two African students going to school. In order to protect themselves against the usual dangers of Africa, they always walk in groups.

The picture is by Birungi Namuyingo Edith from Uganda. Birungi and her friends in the orphanage could use outside help qute well.

Nathan Kurz, operations and CSR manager of IF Localization, keeps in contact with Birungi. A few years ago, he started actively supporting the help organization „Kyosiga Community Christian Association for Development” (KACCAD).

As an international helper, his goal is to improve the living quality of underprivileged persons by promoting income and health-increasing projects. The orphanage where Birungi lives is a project of the Ugandian help organization under local management.

Birungi’s shows me how our friends at IF Localization were also a success socially. For me, this constitutes a duty for future behaviour.

The entire IF blog team wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2012! Many thanks for always reading our articles!

Nathan Kurz shows a short video with pictures from Africa and his work. You will find the video on Youtube

Dear If blog readers,

the next IF forum gives me a reason to write these “bi-weekly news”:

On Friday, November, 18th, 2011, at the usual time, Herr Dr. habil Walter Riess will speak in the third and last IF forum of the year 2011. His topic is

I am truly happy about having managed to make more presentations by Rupert Lay available on youtube. Two presentations he held in 1997 on the Ronneburg, on both “Ronneburger Sundays” for the Ronneburger Kreis are about.

“Looking for Meaning in a Complex World” of April, 20th,
