Christmas Joy
Raindrops sparkle as they fall
on the people young and tall,
from illuminated trees
just like songs are sung for fees.
Stores are now like holy places,
full of songs and happy faces.
Gold or plaster, all is fake.
Children try to stay awake
on this “holiest” of nights,
looking up towards the lights.
After all, this is the day
when, no matter what we say.
Everyone just wants to be,
Part of a happy family.
Let us see what the New Year has in store for us?
