Here is an heretical statement: men and women are not the same. Why should their income be the same? Why should there not be themes and job descriptions where women earn more than men and vice versa? Isn’t that reality?
People often complain about women earning less than men. But that is not always true. For instance, it can happen quite often that a female computer science graduate is better paid than her male counterpart with the same qualifications. Because female computer scientists are rare. And a team consisting of both men and women mostly works better than a same-sex team.
If, however, I hear about an action alliance between business confederations and women organisations, which will organize an action day called Equal Pay Day on March, 25th of this year, and if said event is sponsored by the Federal Ministry for families, senior citizens, women and youth (BMFSFJ) under the motto “Germany, country of ideas”, then this makes me wonder or at least smile.
Justice when it comes to your income is a chimera (Chimäre), anyway. And, of course, gender considerations play a role. But, contrary to what is generally publicly said, this is not exclusively a disadvantage for women.
Structurally, it is also quite hard to compare. For instance, I see that medium-sized enterprises are considerably more willing to offer a part-time job to a woman for reasons of solidarity than to a man. In my opinion, this is absolutely reasonable. But how to evaluate it?

P.S.
Now they also introduced equal rights when it comes to insurance payments (car, pension)???
