Here is what I found in the “SZ” this morning (September, 17th, 2010). It is a report about the Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer and Minister for Social Welfare Christine Haderthauer narrowly escaping a ghost driver and having been in mortal danger.
If you are interested, click on it and read it.
And if you are interested in what I think about it, here comes:
To be sure, it might be part of human nature, in a situation of breathing again and after an adrenaline boost. Whatever.
Except: those are not the kinds of people I very much enjoy trusting my life with.
I would prefer people who perhaps do not have to be in many different places at the same time and therefore have to drive so fast. Maybe people who spend a little more time in thought and strive for cognition together with wise counsellors would be more welcome. They might also be the ones who think prudently before talking and prepare thoroughly before making decisions.
At an aside, another minor question also comes to mind:
Will the chauffeur now get a Bavarian Decoration?
I think yes!

Now I also know why we still do not have a speed limit on our motorways….
