We used the fourth day of our short vacation in Wales early this November for going to England. Here are some impressions:
Of course, we, again, go by train. The destination is Bath in England. We take the First Great Western. Basically, it sounds quite nice, doesn’t it? The voyage was not bad.
Not far from the Roman spas in Bath, you will find the beautiful “Abbey Church”. The headstone for the building was lid in 1499.
What I particularly like about the English houses are the many separate chimneys.
And we take the train on our way back, as well. Now we are in the middle of “rush hour”. The First Great Western train is full to the brim. But a little more than an hour later, we are back in Cardiff, where, after all, we feel truly at home.
