“Birds of a feather flock together”
We met through twitter and various blogs, but we also know each other from all kinds of events: a group of liberated, enlightened and constructively critical-minded project managers and entrepreneurs.
And since we felt that there is something like a harmony made up of knowledge and experience, we decided to organize the
Project Management Camp 2011
with guests and friends.
This year, it will be held between November, 3rd and November, 5th at Dornbirn, Austria.
Here is our vision:
Our goal is to independently, openly and collaboratively find out where we stand, beyond the influence of the great PM organizations of our time. We see common standards only as a facet of a PM cosmos that gets more and more diverse. Wherever the classic doctrin contrasts (or seems to contrast) with innovative ideas, matters get particularly exciting. The PM camp builds bridges between the (seemingly) opposing aspects of active project management:
- Classic versus agile PM.
- Hierarchy/downward spirals versus heterarchy/team-orientation.
- Total physical control versus self-organization.
- Management versus leadership.
- Planning versus improvising.
Our target groups are:
- project managers,
- software developers,
- innovation and development directors,
- experienced leaders,
- students.
